Details
The selection of appropriate steam pressure reducing valve can not only reduce the operation and maintenance cost of the system for users, but also ensure the safe production of the plant and the reliable operation of the Hydronics. When selecting a steam pressure reducing valve, the main considerations are as follows:
1. In order to achieve a balance between pressure stability and sensitivity to pressure response after the valve, the selection should not be too large or too small, otherwise it is easy to cause cavitation and downstream pressure oscillation, leading to increased wear of valve internals and shortened service life of steam pressure reducing valve components.
2. The steam pressure reducing valve should avoid damage from garbage and moisture in the pipeline, and it is advisable to install a filter and a steam water separator.
3. The upstream and downstream pipelines should be selected correctly based on flow rate and pressure.
According to the flow rate, control accuracy, and response speed of steam pressure reducing valves, they can be roughly divided into pilot operated pressure reducing valves and direct acting pressure reducing valves. The steam pressure reducing valve consists of two parts: the main valve and the pilot valve.Downstream feedback copper pipe senses downstream pressure and balances the force of the control spring. Then, the downstream pressure is controlled by adjusting the opening of the pilot valve to deliver an appropriate amount of steam and maintain a stable downstream pressure.
Steam pressure reducing valves are mainly suitable for pressure reducing situations in steam main pipelines or process engineering, and can meet the requirement of maintaining downstream pressure unchanged. They are particularly suitable for working conditions with large inlet pressure fluctuations, such as pressure reducing valves or sudden changes in steam flow. The advantages of steam pressure reducing valves are listed below:
1. Convenient maintenance.
2. Pressure reduction ratio up to 20:1
3. High precision, pressure can be controlled within ± 0.2bar.
4. The upstream pressure fluctuates greatly, while the downstream pressure is not affected.
5. When there is a drastic change in steam consumption, the downstream pressure remains unchanged.
6. Due to the single spherical shape of the steam pressure reducing valve, the sealing performance is improved and the leakage is small.
7. When steam is no longer used, downstream pressure can remain stable at the set value.
8. Ductile cast iron valve body materials have stronger corrosion resistance and service life compared to cast iron steam systems.
9. Due to the large diaphragm area of the main valve of the steam pressure reducing valve and the additional intake structure, the outlet pressure can be controlled stably .
■ Features
● Suitable for regulating the water supply pressure from high-pressure water pipes in high-rise buildings to various floors.
● Small size and light weight.
● Horizontal or vertical installations is possible.
● After setting, always maintain a certain level of pressure.
● Wide flow range ability and always stable.
● All parts can be disassembled through the top of the valve, so complete repairs even in limit spaces is possible.
● Built-in spring type orifice can prevents water hammer.
● Linear flow pass-through method can remove noise during operation.
