The steam pressure reducing valve shall generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline. Its main function is to reduce the air supply pressure and stabilize it at a fixed value, so that the regulating valve can obtain stable air supply power for regulation and control. The operation of the steam pressure reducing valve is controlled by the pressure behind the valve. When the pressure sensor detects that the valve pressure indicator increases, the valve opening of the pressure reducing valve decreases; When the pressure of the pressure reducing valve is detected, the valve opening of the pressure reducing valve increases to meet the control requirements. The pressure reducing ratio of the steam pressure reducing valve must be higher than the system value; It should be able to respond to positive or negative control signals even under large or small flow. These valves should be selected according to the useful control range, i.e. 20% to 80% of the larger flow. Generally, it is equal or has equal ratio. These types of valves have the flow characteristics and flow range required for proportional control.
The steam pressure reducing valve is applicable to water, steam and air medium pipes. Through adjustment, the inlet pressure is reduced to a certain outlet pressure. When the inlet pressure and flow change, the outlet pressure is automatically maintained within a certain range by the energy of the medium itself. However, the difference between inlet pressure and outlet pressure should be ≥ 0.2MPA/CM.
Precautions for installation and use of steam pressure reducing valve:
The piping system needs to be flushed and cleaned before installing the steam pressure reducing valve. In order to prevent welding slag, oxide scale and other dirty materials from flowing into the valve and affecting the normal operation of the valve. The steam pressure reducing valve shall be installed in a place convenient for operation and maintenance, and shall be installed vertically on the horizontal pipeline. Pay attention to ensure that the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline is consistent with the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body, and do not install it in the opposite direction.
When the pressure reducing valve is installed and used, the stop valve of the bypass pipeline should be opened to drain the condensate and soda mixture in the pipeline to prevent water and dirt from damaging the pressure reducing valve during use. When there is no abnormality, slowly turn the adjusting screw clockwise to adjust the outlet pressure to the required pressure (according to the gauge pressure behind the valve). After adjustment, put the lock nut back and screw on the protective cover.
A filter shall be installed in front of the steam pressure reducing valve to prevent impurities in the medium from entering the pressure reducing valve and affecting its performance. There shall be a straight pipe section before and after the installation of pressure reducing valve. The length of the straight pipe in front of the valve is about 600mm, and the length of the straight pipe behind the valve is about 1000mm. Generally, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet of pressure reducing valve shall be ≥ 0.2Mpa.
The steam pressure reducing valve usually has DN50~DN100 and other specifications. The working pressure before and after the valve is less than 1MPa and 0.1~0.5MPa respectively, and the pressure adjustment range error is ± 5%~10%.
This valve is a pilot piston pressure reducing valve, which is applicable to places with high frequency of use from small flow to large flow, and is widely used in construction equipment, air conditioning equipment and other industrial equipment.
