Electromagnetic flow meters are widely used and have powerful functions.Basically, electromagnetic flow meters can be used to measure common industrial control environments, such as sewage treatment, chemical engineering, food, etc., which are very suitable.Today, we will introduce the correct use and installation of electromagnetic flow meters.To avoid functional damage caused by incorrect operation, please strictly follow the instructions for use. There are also some additional preventive measures worth noting. These are the experiences summarized by predecessors, which can provide guarantees for the operation of electromagnetic flow meters.
General precautions for using electromagnetic flow meters:
The use of electromagnetic flow meters should be kept away from magnetic materials and equipment with strong electromagnetic fields as much as possible, as it is susceptible to magnetic interference, and only in this way the equipment coulbe operate normally.Electromagnetic flow meters have high requirements for environment and temperature. When installing, it is necessary to choose a dry and ventilated place.The temperature should be between 20 degrees and 65 degrees, and the humidity in the air should be below 80%, so that the flow rate can be easier and the lifespan may be longer.Electromagnetic flow meters are the same as other flow meters in terms of use and maintenance. Pay attention to the situation when using, which can greatly reduce the fault behavior of electromagnetic flow meters. Let's take a brief look below.
1、Keep the cable joints clean and dry, waterproof and moisture-proof, and tighten the flow meter and each cable head cover in a timely manner after each use.
2、It is strictly prohibited to connect an electromagnetic flow meter during circulation to prevent sharp hard chips in the circulating liquid from washing and damaging the inner lining of the flow meter, which may affect measurement accuracy.
3、Electromagnetic flow meter transmitters cannot be interchanged.
4、Ensure that the lining of the electromagnetic flowmeter is not scratched or punctured by hard objects, which may damage its smoothness.
5、After each construction and use, it is necessary to clean the inner lining of the flow meter and the reducing short circuit lining with clean water (oil free) in a timely manner (using a water gun and a soft cloth to clean the inner lining). It is strictly prohibited for the lining of the electromagnetic flow meter to come into contact with various oil substances to pollute the measuring electrodes and damage the insulation lining.
6、If there is a flow jump at the moment of starting the pump to supply the slurry, the accumulated liquid should be promptly "cleared" to eliminate measurement errors caused by signal jump.
7、The electromagnetic flow meter transmitter (with display device) needs to be kept clean and used indoors, waterproof, moisture-proof, shockproof, and collision resistant, and the cable should be kept clean.
8、The 220V AC cable head and socket of the electromagnetic flow meter shall not be affected by moisture or water ingress; Do not use wet hands to connect or unplug wires during use to prevent electric shock hazards.
9、After each slurry change measurement, fill in the construction date, construction well number, design slurry change amount, and cumulative data of the flow meter on the flow meter operation record form.
10、The insulation material on the inner wall of the electromagnetic flow meter should not come into contact with oily, acidic, or alkaline substances to avoid deterioration and damage to the performance of the flow meter due to insulation aging.
11、When installing, disassembling, transporting, and storing the flowmeter, it is strictly prohibited to throw or drop it from the vehicle to avoid deformation or fracture of the internal coil due to strong vibration and impact.
12、Strictly implement the equipment on-site and factory return inspection system. The electromagnetic flow meter needs to be powered on before and after each use to check its working condition: before departure, power on for inspection;after returning to the base for cleaning and maintenance, power on for inspection, and keep inspection records.
