The correct installation of flow measurement instruments is an important link to ensure their normal operation. If installed improperly, it will affect the accuracy of the instrument, even affect its service life, and even damage the instrument. Vortex flowmeter is an indispensable instrument for measuring flow meters in industrial production. It can measure Superheated steam, nitrogen and other gases, as well as water, methanol and other liquids. Let's talk about how to install a gas vortex flowmeter correctly.
(一)Environmental requirements for installation of vortex flow meters:
1、Try to avoid strong current equipment, high-frequency equipment, and strong switching power supply equipment. The power supply of the instrument should be separated from these devices as much as possible.
2、Avoid the direct impact of high-temperature heat sources and radiation sources. If installation is required, insulation and ventilation are required.
3、Avoid high humidity environment and strong corrosive gas environment. If installation is required, ventilation is required.
4、Vortex flow meters should be installed on pipelines with strong vibrations as much as possible. If installation is required, pipe fastening devices need to be installed in the upstream and downstream two-dimensional areas, and anti vibration pads need to be added to enhance the anti vibration effect.
5、Vortex flow meters should be installed indoors as much as possible. When installed outdoors, attention should be paid to waterproofing. Pay special attention to bending the cable into a U-shape at the electrical interface to prevent water from entering the amplifier housing along the cable.
6、Sufficient space should be left around the instrument installation places for installation, wiring, and regular maintenance.
(二)Installation requirements for vortex flowmeter instrument pipelines:
1、The vortex flowmeter has certain requirements for the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections of the installation point, otherwise it will affect the flow field of the medium in the pipeline and affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument.
2、The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream pipelines should be the same. If there is a difference, the inner diameter Dp of the pipeline and the inner diameter Db of the vortex flowmeter should meet the following relationship: 0.98Db ≤ Dp ≤ 1.05Db. The upstream and downstream pipelines should be concentric with the inner diameter of the flow meter, and the difference should be less than 0.05Db.
3、The gasket between the vortex flowmeter and the flange should not protrude into the pipeline during installation, and its inner diameter should be 1-2mm larger than the inner diameter of the instrument.
4、Installation design of pressure and temperature measuring holes. When temperature and pressure transmitters need to be installed in the tested pipeline, pressure measuring holes should be set downstream and temperature measuring holes should be set downstream.
5、Instruments can be installed horizontally, vertically, or obliquely on pipelines.
6、When measuring gas, the vortex flowmeter is installed on a vertical pipeline, and the direction of gas flow is not restricted. However, if the pipeline contains a small amount of liquid, in order to prevent the liquid from entering the instrument measuring tube, the airflow should flow from bottom to top.
7、When measuring liquid using vortex flowmeter, to ensure that the pipeline is filled with liquid, when installing the instrument in a vertical or inclined pipeline, the flow direction of the liquid should be ensured to be from bottom to top.If there is a small amount of gas in the pipeline, to prevent gas from entering the instrument measuring tube, the vortex flowmeter should be installed at the lower part of the pipeline.
8、When measuring high and low temperature media, attention should be paid to insulation measures. The high temperature inside the converter (watch case) generally does not exceed 70 ℃; Low temperature can easily cause condensation inside the converter, reduce the insulation resistance of the printed circuit board, and affect the normal operation of the vortex flowmeter.
