Differential pressure flowmeter is one of the most commonly used flowmeters in industry. According to a survey, over 80% of the flow meters used in industrial production systems such as refineries, steel mills, and power plants are differential pressure flow meters. The reason why differential pressure flow meters are widely used is due to their simple structure, convenient installation, long historical background, and high reliability of experimental data.
The differential pressure flowmeter can be divided into three parts:
1、Throttling Device
2、Pipeline 3 for transmitting differential pressure signals, differential pressure gauge or differential pressure transmitter, and secondary instrument.
There are many types of throttling devices, commonly including orifice plates, nozzles, Venturi tubes, long neck nozzles, annular orifice plates, circular orifice plates, uniform velocity tubes, wedge flow meters, V-cone flow meters, etc.
